Our tour consists of three legendary antique cities from the ancient world; Hierapolis, Aphrodisias and Laodicea with an overnight stay in Pamukkale. Hierapolis being one of the most fascinating ancient sites welcomes you to discover hidden history dated back to Hellenistic and Roman periods. Above all, recently restored ancient theater promises you the architectural talent of the period. Secondly, you are going to visit one of the Pamukkale namely “the cotton castle” where you are going to feel yourself stepping in clouds with its spectacular formations of travertine. The natural hot spring pool is going to be one of the most precious moments of your Pamukkale tour. While visiting an ancient site it is also possible to swim in a hot spring pool full of ancient artifacts where beautiful Cleopatra once had taken a bath.

Our second city, Aphrodisias is an ancient city dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite. Prosperity enveloped the town, thanks to the creativity and excellent craftsmanship of artists who utilized an outsized amount of excellent quality marble from the nearby quarries. Within the city there are many landmarks of a bustling metropolis, its own Odeon (council chambers), monumental gate, stadium, Hadrian’s Roman Baths and surely the temple to Aphrodite.

The third city, the ancient city of Laodicea is constituted of a high platform that the tripartite is surrounded by rivers, in the middle of the fertile plain of Lycos. The Hellenistic city of Laodicea was founded in the 3rd century BC. J.C by King Seleucid Antiochus II honored by his wife Laodicea and was linked to Rome in 130 BC. J.C. As one of the centers of Christianity, at the metropolitan level of the Byzantine Empire, is one of the seven churches sacred places mentioned in the Bible. During our visit of the city, you will be able to see the church connected to Syrian Avenue and also, you will be able to see Roman A Temple, Agora and two theaters.

Programme de la visite

Day 1

After meeting your guide and driver at 8:00 AM, you will be transferred to Aphrodisias with a drive of 3 hours including a half-hour break. In the ancient city you will be able to see the Monumental Gate (Tetrapylon), Stadium, Temple of Aphrodite, Agora and the Odeon (council chambers). Following our visit, you will have a break for the included lunch for an hour and you will be transferred to the ancient city of Laodicea. In the ancient city you will be able to see the Syrian Avenue and the Biblical Church, Roman Temple A, Agora and the Western and Northern Theater. After finishing our visit, you will be transferred to our hotel in Pamukkale.

Day 2

At 9:00 you will check out and meet your guide and start your full day tour.

You will start the ancient city of Hierapolis from the South Gate. Hierapolis being one of the most fascinating ancient sites welcomes you to discover hidden history dated back to Hellenistic and Roman periods.

Next, you are going to visit one of the Pamukkale namely “the cotton castle” where you are going to feel yourself stepping in clouds. In other words, with its spectacular formations of travertine, Pamukkale is jewelry you in a world of wonders. The natural hot spring pool is going to be one of the most precious moments of your tour. While visiting the travertines, as an option you may also swim in a hot spring pool full of ancient artifacts; the pool where beautiful Cleopatra once had taken a bath.

After enjoying the travertines and hot springs, you may also have the optional opportunity to visit one of the largest necropolises of the ancient world. It is told that the deceased people who trying to be healed in Asclepion were buried here. Following the necropolis, you will be transferred back to Izmir with a drive of 3 hours including a half-hour break.
